Sometimes it takes a while to find a good subject for a photo, especially early in the morning when every rock seems to look the same. But there was one rock during this session that stood out. It was surrounded by a tranquil pool of water…when it wasn’t being pounded by the incoming surf.
This image was a challenge because I had to keep one eye on the camera, one eye on the ocean, and then another eye on my escape path if the water suddenly surged. After 30 or so shots, I was able to capture this image of this unique rock.
